I just can’t get over how effortlessly vintage this session is. I met Haley & Pedrick in the middle of Iowa’s rolling hills, left my car and climbed into the backseat of their truck. We drove through gates with cows who eyeballed us lazily, so content in their grazing. We drove across the fields from spot to spot and let me tell you, Haley’s family farm is wild and diverse and absolutely beautiful. The grove in the trees by the creek is so good it hurts. This is the kind of experience that makes my heart happy.
To say that I’m excited for their wedding is an understatement. I know, you’ve heard it from me a million times. But it’s still true! I feel so lucky I get to meet such incredible people and document such a big part of their lives. Haley and Pedrick are quietly wise and funny, dog-lovers and hard-workers. They live together, hunt together, and work together. The way he looks at her is so cute. Her flowing red dress is everything! I’ll be seeing these two again when the snow returns (I mean, if it actually snows).
