First of all, the name of this place is hilarious to me. Pappy Dickens runs alongside Hickory Hills Park in Iowa City. To be completely honest, I wouldn’t have noticed a difference between the two before this session.

Rachel and Ben got married this past November (that’s how far behind in blogging I am, ahh) but it’s really so fun to look back on these summer forest engagement photos we took. It’s one of their favorite places to go, within walking distance from their home, and it was a special place to them. I love it and truly think it’s special when couples have a place in mind like this for their session. This day was the definition of sweltering Iowa humidity, but they were good sports, and Rachel is simply stunning in her dress.
